Distraught grandparents say they cannot sleep after burglars ransacked their house before walking away with wedding rings and thousands of pounds.
When Les Skinner, 63, returned home to Halstead Road, Gosfield, from work, he was shocked to discover thieves had ransacked his and his wife Rita's home, leaving their belongings strewn all over.
Their mattress was overturned, drawers had been opened and a dozen envelopes full of receipts had even been ripped over.
The self-employed bricklayer discovered the thieves had taken cash from a bedside table, which were earnings from a job he had earmarked for a forthcoming holiday.
