Baristas are raising money and awareness of breast cancer after a colleague survived the disease.
Michele Curtis, who works at Starbucks on the A12 southbound at Rivenhall, was diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2012 while she was living in Tenerife.
The mum-of-two is now cancer-free after undergoing chemotherapy treatment, a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery.
The Starbucks team set up an awareness day yesterday by selling cakes and coffees to raise money for Breast Cancer UK.
Mrs Curtis, 48, said: “It’s something that I am very very passionate about, I just want to do whatever I can to help out."
