MARK Morsley has been elected as Manningtree Town Council’s new mayor.
The former deputy mayor was elected at a full council meeting last Thursday.
Last year’s mayor Lee Lay Flurrie was voted in a deputy.
Mr Morsley described his appointment as “an honour”.

MANNINGTREE Town Council is looking to coopt two new councillors.
The council has the vacancies as too few people came forward to stand for election earlier this month.
