A PUB was packed with customers for a special charity fun day on bank holiday Monday.
The Robert Burre, in Burrs Road, Clacton, set the event up to raise money for Help for Heroes.
Youngsters made a beeline for the bouncy castle, while a DJ was playing throughout the afternoon and stalls were set up around the pub garden.
A barbecue and hog roast sizzled away through the day.
Organisers are still totting up the total, but said they had raised hundreds of pounds.
Joe Holmes, from the pub, said: “We have been wanting to do a fun day since we started here and it went really well.
“We decided to raise money for Help for Heroes because it’s a deserving charity that does a lot of good. The place was packed and the weather just about held. It was really successful.”
