More than 60 people have signed up to donate their organs after a talented young musician was killed in a head-on car crash.
Corran Powell, known as Coz, died eight days after the blue Volkswagen Polo he was driving was in collision with a Ford Fiesta in Braintree Road, Gosfield, in December.
The 21-year-old was placed in a medically-induced coma at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, but his family later decided to switch his life-support machine off.
His family asked for friends and relatives to join the organ donor register after the Hedingham School pupil donated his liver, pancreas and a kidney, which meant people who received them could be home for Christmas.
Coz’s mum Gennie, who lives in Greenfields in Gosfield, said saving people’s lives was Coz’s lasting legacy to the world.
