Police have asked people to keep an eye out for Alesha's mobile phone, although they do not know the brand or model yet, and unusual white-tip cigarettes.

The married mum, 36, left her house in the Elmstead Road area of Colchester on Sunday at 4.15pm and has not been seen since.

She takes regular medication, which she does not have with her.

Police say she is “very vulnerable”.

Today, hundreds of friends have been given permission by Essex Police to help officers search Essex University.

The search was launched at 11.30am this morning.

Aleasha does not have access to a vehicle but does have access to money.

For that reason, Essex Police say the search will not be confined to Colchester.

A police spokesman said: “We are urgently appealing for any sightings of Alesha.

“We are very concerned for her welfare.

"She takes regular medication, which she does not have, and is considered very vulnerable."

Anyone who sees Aleasha is being urged to call 999.
