A DELIVERY driver was robbed by a gang for a packet of cigarettes.
The man was cracked on the head and knocked to the ground during the robbery in Ebony Close, Colchester.
Three men attacked him before searching the delivery van and stealing a packet of tobacco and cigarettes.
Detectives have released an e-fit of one of the suspects in the hope someone may recognise the robber.
It happened at about 8.45pm on Saturday.
The men threatened the driver before fleeing towards Berechurch Road.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "The suspects are described as white and in their early 20s.
"One was around 6ft 2 tall, and wearing a white hoodie. The others were shorter and wearing dark clothing."
