A mum has set up her own tanning salon in Halstead after she became fed up of travelling to Braintree.
Victoria Oakley, 35, of White Ash Green, Halstead, was using tanning beds 17 miles away because she felt there wasn’t anything for her in the town.
The mum-of-four, who was previously a stay-at-home mum, decided she wanted to set up her own business after her friend was selling a separate salon in Braintree.
Although it didn’t go ahead, she never gave up her ambition and used her savings and a loan to set up Coco Tanning, which opened in Halstead’s High Street on Saturday.
The premises was previously occupied by Fitzpatrick Total Home Care.
