A 78-year-old Halstead man who was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drink or drugs has had his bail extended.
The man, who was also arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a motorcyclist suffered life-changing injuries in a crash in Sible Hedingham, answered his bail on Tuesday.
He was rebailed until March 2 next year.
A rapid response vehicle, an ambulance, the Herts Air Ambulance and a fire engine from Wethersfield were called to Swan Street on October 20, after a green Land Rover and a Yamaha motorcycle collided.
The motorcyclist, a man from Haverhill aged in his late 20s, was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge by land ambulance after suffering a serious fracture to his right leg and a possible fracture to his pelvis.
