Become speed watch volunteer
A COMMUNITY speed watch is encouraging volunteers to come forward.
Elmstead Parish Council is launching a Camerawatch scheme next month.
Volunteers, who must be aged over 18, will be taught how to use a hand-held speed camera before being sent out on the village streets to speeding hotspots.
Anyone interested can attend at launch event on October 14 at Elmstead Community Centre, in School Road, Elmstead Market.
It will take place from 12.30pm and an equipment demonstration will be held at 1.30pm.
