Sailing club applies for permission to replace 30-year-old pontoon
A sailing club has applied for planning permission to replace a pontoon.
The Burnham Sailing Club, in Coronation Road, has submitted an application to Maldon District Council to replace their existing access to the River Crouch with a redesigned and enlarged pontoon.
A design and access statement submitted with the application stated that the current pontoon is nearly 30-years-old and is too narrow to accommodate many modern dinghies.
