A devoted dog owner says it does not matter if it takes five months or five years, she will never give up on bringing her lost pet home.
Teddy, a 15-month-old Sharpei-Labrador cross, went missing on a walk at Mill Beach, Heybridge, on June 1.
His owner, Stacey Key, 19, a carer, of Francis Way, Silver End said: “At first we shoved it all over Facebook and then we made a page for him and he now has 1,500 followers.
“We didn’t have any sightings for a while and then he popped up.”
Teddy reappeared in a field in Totham three weeks ago and has been sighted there regularly.
Stacey is reluctant to give the exact location, in case Teddy is scared away by wellwishers.
She said: “I’ve had him since he was eight weeks, he’s such a mummy’s boy, he wouldn’t let me leave the house without him.”
“I will take any suggestions from people, if these traps don’t work I don’t know what to do.
“I will never give up, I will bring him home, if it takes five months or five years."
To make a suggestion to Stacey, join the 'Find Teddy!' group on Facebook.
