COASTGUARDS coordinated a rescue after a boat broke down in the water near Clacton.
The vessel, named Tullagorhun, suffered engine failure near the Seawick coast.
Crew members called for help at about 11.20am on Sunday and coastguards arranged for a lifeboat to take it under tow.
It was handed over to a tug boat, which pulled the Tullagorhun back to Maldon.
