A FISHERMAN has hit out at crooks who pinched a haul of lobsters worth hundreds of pounds.
Terry Haggis, of Walton, who runs fish business Sea Dainties in the town, has been catching and storing lobsters for the past two weeks to fulfil his Easter orders.
The lobsters, worth about £400, were being kept in a tank at Titchmarsh Marina.
But Mr Haggis discovered his entire catch had been stolen in an overnight raid last week.
He said: “A lot of hard work went into catching them. We’re talking about my livelihood."
Mr Haggis, who sells his fresh fish from Walton seafront, thinks the crime took place between 1.30-3.30am on Wednesday April 16.
He has contacted the police and appealed for anyone with information on the missing lobsters to come forward.
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
CCTV cameras have been fitted to that area of Titchmarsh Marina to ward off any future thefts.
