COUNCILLORS showed their enthusiasm for their role as two out of three committees were over subscribed with members keen to get involved.
At a meeting of Maldon Town Council, votes had to be taken to decide which councillors would be appointed on both the finance and general purposes and the planning committees after so many volunteered.
And Maldon's town clerk pointed out that this was even more remarkable as not all the councillors had been able to attend the meeting to volunteer.
