Open gardens day for church

11:24am Wednesday 14th May 2008

GARDENERS will be showing off the fruits of their labour to raise cash for a parish church.

Ranging from small courtyards to expansive lawns, 19 private gardens in Coggeshall will be open to the public on June 7 and June 8 in aid of St Peter ad Vincula Church.

Visitors can also see a display of vintage and classic cars, enjoy lunch at the 14th century church and replenish on cream teas and refreshments at some of the gardens.

Tickets cost £4 for one day and £5 for both days, available from the clock tower on Market Hill or at the church on both days. Free admission for children under 16. Gardens open 11am to 5pm.
