Museum opens to great reception
 |
| Officially open: The Cottage Museum in Great Bardfield. |
Hard working volunteers were one of the key ingredients in getting a village museum refurbished and reopened.
The Cottage Museum in High Street, Great Bardfield, was officially opened yesterday after the village's historical society spent four years planning and securing funding for the restoration project.
Great Bardfield Historical Society used a grant of £24,904 from the Heritage Lottery Fund to pay for the project.
Jenny Rooney, project coordinator, said: "It's extremely rewarding, there has been a huge amount of hard work from the whole team and the village - lots of people have contributed."
