A group of mothers fear their childrens' pre-school may have to close.
Furious mothers have said the Little Elms Pre-School - which has been in north Witham for 30 years - cannot afford to carry on at the Spring Lodge Community Centre, Chipping Hill.
The school was moved from Rickstones Pavilion to Spring Lodge and the switch is costing Little Elms about £240 more every month.
The pre-school, which has 40 youngsters on the roll, was relocated by Braintree Council in January as the Rickstones Pavilion, in Laburnum Way, was deemed as a health and safety risk by a fire assessment.
A proposal is going to the cabinet at Braintree Council asking to explore the possibility of undertaking the necessary work to make Rickstones pavilion safe for the group to return.
