Mums have appealed for action to prevent "a child getting killed" on a school run.
Parents of children at Earls Colne Primary School and Nursery, say the walk way to school marked by a yellow line along Park Lane is not enough.
Earls Colne Parish Council had planned to hold a meeting on Friday (2/5) with the Highways Department and Jane Clarke, head teacher, to discuss these concerns, but this has been postponed because one parish councillor could not attend.
Emma Gaze, mother of Michael Bird, seven, and Jennifer Bird, three, said: "The cars don't stay off the yellow painted walk way.
"At some point a child is going to get killed."
Miss Gaze, 25, of Massingham Drive, said there should be parking attendants, double yellow lines or the road should be pedestrianised.
Mrs Clarke said: "It's something that's given us some concern for some time."
