A CANCER survivor – aged 28 – has completed a skydive for charity.
Leala Milleare took the plunge for St Helena Hospice, along with 30 of her friends, after getting the all-clear.
The hairdresser, of Arnold Road, Clacton, discovered she had cervical cancer last October.
After doctors discovered the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes, she was forced to undergo a radical hysterectomy, where the entire womb and ovaries were removed.
But Miss Milleare has bounced back from her ordeal, and aimed to make £6,000 for the hospice with the daredevil stunt.
The parachute jump was organised by Jamie Milleare, her brother, helped by Kelly Gaffney, of Balkerne Heights, Colchester, who did it in support of her mother, Pauline, of Litchfield Close, Clacton, who was recently diagnosed with lung cancer for the second time.
