A TOWN council mayor has been re-elected for the next year.
On Tuesday May 13, members of South Woodham Ferrers Town Council gathered at Champion Manors Hall, Hullbridge Road, to appoint the mayor and deputy mayor.
Keith Miles was unanimously chosen as mayor for the next 12 months, while Christine Weir-Ewing was also unanimously chosen as deputy mayor.
Mr Miles said: "It's an honour to be the town mayor and makes me humble. I look forward to the next year and thank you all for the support."
Ian Roberts was chosen to chair the environment and planning committee, while Richard Weir-Ewing was chosen to chair the leisure and community committee of the town council.
