Chelmsford unemployment figures

THERE has been a slight rise in unemployment in the West Chelmsford constituency in figures just released.
Commenting on the figures, Simon Burns MP for the constituency said: "I am disappointed that in the West Chelmsford Parliamentary constituency unemployment has risen in the last month by 11 to 850 people but fortunately in the Chelmsford local authority area it has remained static at 1231 people.
"As all the key economic indicators suggest that the economy is slowing down significantly, I am fearful that we are going to see a gradual increase in unemployment in the coming months."
