Reveller suffers bottle attack

A MAN was assaulted in an "unprovoked attack" at a Chelmsford nightspot.

Detectives from the town are appealing for witnesses to the attack which took place in the Que Pasa nightclub in Springfield Road at 12.30am on Thursday May 1.

The 23 year old from South Woodham Ferrers was subjected to what police called "an unprovoked attack" when he was hit on the forehead by a bottle that caused a wound that needed 13 stitches. He was taken to Broomfield Hospital and may be permanently scarred.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who was in the club at the time and witnessed the attack or has any information to contact them on 0300 333 4444 where the officer dealing with the incident is Det Con Stewart Knight.
