The trial of David Oakes, who is accused of murdering his daughter and her mum, begins today.
Christine Chambers and two-year-old Shania were found dead in their home in Bartram Avenue on June 6 last year.
The 50-year-old of Steeple Bay caravan park near Maldon faces a 10 day trial at Chelmsford Crown Court.
