A driver had a lucky escape after a thug through a rock at his windscreen on the A120.
The driver, a 49-year-old Ardleigh man, had been driving past the Old Road junction, Coggeshall, in the direction of Marks Tey when the rock smashed into his windscreen at about 1.35pm on Thursday, February 16.
District Commander Chief Insp Nick Lee said: “It’s an unusual sort of crime to occur at this time of day.
“Throwing a rock at a car is an extremely dangerous thing to do.
“The rock left a hole in his windscreen.”
The suspect is thought to be in his 20s or early 30s.
He is white , had cropped brown hair and was wearing a green quilted jacket.
Mr Lee has urged any witnesses to call him at the Braintree station on 101.
