A driver had a lucky escape after a thug through a rock at his windscreen on the A120.

The driver, a 49-year-old Ardleigh man, had been driving past the Old Road junction, Coggeshall, in the direction of Marks Tey when the rock smashed into his windscreen at about 1.35pm on Thursday, February 16.

District Commander Chief Insp Nick Lee said: “It’s an unusual sort of crime to occur at this time of day.

“Throwing a rock at a car is an extremely dangerous thing to do.

“The rock left a hole in his windscreen.”

The suspect is thought to be in his 20s or early 30s.

He is white , had cropped brown hair and was wearing a green quilted jacket.

Mr Lee has urged any witnesses to call him at the Braintree station on 101.

Hmmm. What the hell? The story's incomplete. I got the colour of the man alright but what of the car? The make? The model? The colour? This is all impotent stuff. But the frugal use of english to encompass two completely different subjects by using one word was an interesting play on words. I guess the tosser (!) that threw the rock threw it through the windshield. So one could say "the thug through a rock" and be done with it? It was thrown and it went through.

Me? Ah be driving me a Ca-dee-lac. See - if my doctor says ah'm impotent and ah be calling impotent stuff then I need to LOOK impotent...
