Vodafone customers in part of Witham were left with only a partial service for 11 days due to a technical fault.

The problem left businesses and residents unable to get a reliable signal between January 31 and Saturday. A Vodafone spokesman said a hardware problem on a phone mast in the CM8 postcode area was reported on January 31 but the repair was delayed because a part needed to be ordered.

It was finally fixed on Saturday.
