Three women from the same town have been chosen as Olympic Games volunteers.

Witham residents Lysbeth Boomer-Hawkins, Isobel Norton and Trish Sullivan - all aged in their 60s - will get a close up slice of the sporting action.

Lysbeth, a retired shorthand tutor, will work in press operations, Isobel, who worked in a care home, will be involved in drugs testing and Trish will be a chauffeur, which means she could be driving dignitaries and competitors.
