A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed.
The 23-year-old was found with stab wounds where Milton Avenue meets Goldingham Drive in Braintree yesterday at about 7.45pm.
He was in a stable condition at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford.
An area outside flats in the Braintree road was cordoned off, and police were carrying out forensic work at the scene today.
No arrests have been made and police are appealing for witnesses to call Braintree CID on 0300 3334444.
Essex Police spokesman Roger Grimwade reassured residents: “There’s no cause for concern.
“We don’t believe it to have been a random attack.”
