A PATIENT has been taken to hospital in a serious condition after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Witnesses near Braintree town centre reported seeing the air ambulance trying to land at around 10am.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a patient in cardiac arrest in Coggeshall Road, Braintree, today at 9.35am."
"One ambulance, one rapid response vehicle, one ambulance officer and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance attended the scene.
"One patient was taken by land ambulance to Broomfield Hospital in a serious condition."
