Overnight roadworks are set to take place on the A120 for five weeks.
Highways England is set to conduct bridge works on the Queensborough Meadow Bridge, as well as general maintenance works on the trunk road.
Starting from Monday, June 4, a 40 miles an hour speed limit will be introduced between the Notley Road turn off to Panner's Interchange.
Some full weekend closures are planned, for which dates will follow.
A mixture of slip road closures, lane closures and full carriageway closures will be implemented.
