A SHOPPING centre in Witham is set to be unveiled after refurbishment.
NewRiver's Newland Shopping Centre, in Newland Street, has been receiving a makeover in recent months, with fresh signs, new benches and lamp posts being installed.
A special launch event for the updated centre is being held from 11.30am to 12.30pm on Friday, with Witham Town Mayor JoAnn Williams and community groups set to attend.
Stuart Mitchell, director of NewRiver, said: "Newlands Shopping Centre is loved and used frequently by the community in Witham, offering great value shopping to its customers.
"In order to continue to provide the best shopping experience for our customers and retailers, we have undertaken an extensive plan of upgrade works to improve and refresh the centre.
"These works – the first phase of investment into the shopping centre – will improve signage for all users as well as adding new benches and improved lighting.
"NewRiver is committed to its customers and retailers, and prides itself on offering the strongest convenience-led shopping offer.
"These improvements will enable the Newlands Shopping Centre to continue providing this to centre users for years to come.”
