A children's charity has received a much-needed gift in the form of a generous donation.

Brainwave, based in Newland Street, Witham, was given the surprise gift from EBM Managed Services Group.

The printer was delivered by employee Andrew Hunt, who turned up with a new Epson print machine, equipped with the latest technology.

Gerry Gould, community manager at Brainwave, said: “We cannot thank Mick and Mark Bailey of EBM Managed Services Group enough for supplying us with this new state of the art printer, which will enable us to print off our work in a quicker and clearer way.

“It was a lovely surprise to receive such a fantastic printer.

“Over the ten years we have had our Children’s Therapy Centre in Witham, EBM has always been supportive to us in any way it can and we are very lucky to have its excellent support, which is very much appreciated by us all at the charity.”

The machine will save up to 96 per cent in energy, reduces waste by 99 per cent and has 88 per cent fewer carbon dioxide emissions.

EBM director Mick Bailey has supported the charity for ten years with reconditioned printers, ink and servicing.

He said: “They do not receive any Government funding and do such a wonderful job in helping the children they see with disabilities and additional needs.

“I knew they needed a new printer as they were starting to have problems with the one they already had and decided to give them a gift that would help them in various ways.

“Everyone at the Brainwave Centre was absolutely delighted with this new modern machine and it was our pleasure to help them out.”
