Primary school pupils investigated the effects of plastic on the ocean as part of National Science Week.
Students at Beckers Green Primary School, Braintree, spent the week designing posters to help raise awareness of plastic pollution and designed gadgets to help save sea animals and remove items from the oceans.
A spokesman for the school said: βTo try and make children aware of how much plastic we use, we did a litter pick in our playground and we even had a visit from Braintree Recycling Centre to teach us more about landfills and the machinery used to help us recycle better.β
