A care worker at a home in Great Dunmow has been celebrated for her dedication to her profession.
Mother-of-two Linda Pegram is the latest recipient of the Retirement Village Star Award for her work at Moat Park home.
Ms Pegram, who lives in Braintree, has worked at the Moat Park village for two years, but has been working in the care industry for 13 in total.
She said: "I am proud to work for Retirement Villages and the residents here at Moat Park and this award is much appreciated.”
The award is given to a member of staff who has made an outstanding contribution to the wellbeing of residents in the home.
Kerri Brill, manager of Moat Park, said: "Linda is an exemplary employee and a real ambassador for retirement villages and village life.
"Her commitment to her work is outstanding and she shows care and attention in all that she does.
"Whilst much of Linda's day is spent alone, she always has a cheery word for the residents, who she cares for deeply.“
