Some famous faces paid a visit to Witham to open the town’s only dedicated tattoo and piercing parlour.

Lynn and Paul McGarry and George Gilbey, stars of the much-loved Channel 4 show Gogglebox, helped open All or Nothing Tattoo and Piercings, in Church Street, on Saturday.

Tattooist Paris Bowman has fully refurbished the property, which is owned by Mrs McGarry and used to be home to her salon Blades.

Mr Bowman said: “They are the loveliest people and they are so down to earth. I had no idea they were the landlords when I was looking at it.

“It was really lovely them coming down for the opening and they took the time to speak to everyone.”

Mr Bowman has been tattooing for 11 years, and has big plans for the future of the business.

“It has been completely gutted and we have spent quite a lot of money on it,” he said.

“I have two artists working with me and an apprentice we have taken on from the area.

“One of the artists has 20 years experiences tattooing all over the world.

“I wanted it to be a nice relaxed and approachable environment, unlike some tattoo shops. I thought I could bring something new and exciting to Witham and hopefully it will be good for the town.”

Mrs McGarry said her family were rooting for Mr Bowman and his business.

“He has spent a lot of money in there and they have done it up beautifully,” she said.

“Tattooing is his life. On Saturday during the opening event it was like a pub in there.

“He is a young lad who has put his heart and soul into the place.”

The McGarrys return in the new series of Gogglebox, however George is moving on to other projects.
