Parking restrictions are set to be introduced on a series of residential streets, in a bit to cut delays for drivers and improve safety for pedestrians.
The North Essex Parking Partnership wants to put in new restrictions in Coggeshall Road and Warley Close in Braintree, Elizabeth Close, Pelly Avenue and Pitt Avenue in Witham and Notley Green in Great Notley to limit the amount of traffic parked on the roads.
Authorities hope removing parked vehicles from the areas will "improve safety and reduce the probability of road traffic accidents" whilst also increasing the ease of access for larger vehicles such as refuse lorries and emergency service vehicles.
