A critically acclaimed tribute to the legendary Cliff Richard and The Shadows is heading to Braintree Arts Theatre next month.

Cliff Richard and his famous backing band dominated Britpop during the Sixties and their music will be replicated by Simon Goodall and The Bourne Again Shadows on Friday, March 2 at the Arts Theatre, as part of the band's "Celebrating Sixty Years of Cliff and The Shadows" tour.

Simon Goodall established himself as a Cliff Richard tribute artist in his own right, after often having his voice likened to the Peter Pan of Pop himself.

The solo and session singer teamed up with The Bourne Again Shadows in 2014, and have worked together regularly since their debut concert four years ago.

The tribute act have a bustling repertoire, including many popular hits such as Summer Holiday, Living Doll, Apache and Foot Tapper.

Pete Lincoln, who was a member of Cliff Richards' band, said of the tribute group: "The emulation of The Shadows' sound is spot on, and the Cliff vocals are uncanny."

And if that's not high enough praise to impress, Sir Cliff himself has spoken about Simon Goodall in the past, saying: "[he] is the Cliff sound-alike in the business".

Tickets for the show, priced at £18, are available by calling 01376 556354, or at www.braintreeartstheatre.com. The show starts at 7.30pm.
