Pantomime stars are set to shine as an award winning theatre club gets ready for the curtain to rise on its latest production.

Bocking Theatre Club will be performing Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, written by Ben Crocker, next week – with a cast ranging in age from ten to well into their seventies.

The group, which has won National Dramatic and Operatic Association awards, for each of its previous two efforts, cannot wait for opening night.

Along with the classic pantomime lines and ensuing hilarity, the show will feature full-cast dance routines and a range of songs.

The Bocking Theatre Club hopes this will be its best pantomime yet, so it’s not to be missed, given the group’s credentials.

The six performances will be directed by Margaret Surrey, with four evening shows and two matinees on offer.

Evening performances will take place every night from Wednesday, February 14, to Saturday, February 17, at 7.30pm.

The matinee performances will take place on the Wednesday and the Saturday at 2pm.

Doors will open at 7pm for the evening performances and at 1.30pm for the matinee showings.

They will take place at Bocking Village Hall, Bocking United Services Club, in Church Street, Bocking.

Tickets are £7.50 each, £6.50 for concessions or £25 for a family ticket (two adults and two children) and can be bought from www.bockingtheatreclub.
