A popular restaurant chain has been given permission to convert a former bank in Witham.
Loungers Ltd, owners of the Cosy Club and Lounges restaurant brands, is set to change the use of the former HSBC bank building in Newland Street.
The move is an exciting development for Witham town centre, and the new eatery could bring 15 jobs to the town.
The first and second floor of the property is apartments, with just the ground floor and the basement set to form part of the new business.
An outdoor seating area around the back of the property is proposed for diners to eat and drink in an open air setting.
Loungers Ltd refused to confirm any more about the plans at the moment.
