ASIAN gold worth tens of thousands of pounds were stolen from a Braintree home.
Police are investigating after Asian gold jewellery worth a five figure sum was stolen from a home in Masefield Road, Braintree.
The burglary is believed to have happened between 9.30pm and 10pm on Friday.
A messy search of the property was carried out by unknown suspects.
DC Jo Lewis, at Braintree Police Station, said: “As part of the investigation officers are conducting lines of enquiry, including CCTV scoping.
“We would ask any residents or passers-by, who think they may have seen something suspicious in the road around the time of the incident, to contact us.
“Burglary is a despicable crime, and we will follow every investigative route, with the aim of re-uniting the homeowners with their jewellery.”
Anyone with information should contact Pc Lee Mullen at Braintree CID on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
