A fire station is recruiting on-call firefighters.
Braintree Fire Station is looking to boost its numbers by hiring more on-call firefighters.
An on-call firefighter is able to respond to a range of emergencies and engage with their community.
They have everyday lives and jobs, until the pager sounds - then they become professional firefighters.
On-call firefighters are paid for their services and receive thorough training.
To become an on-call firefighter you must live or work within five minutes of the fire station, be over 18 and physically fit, though support will be given to help you meet fitness requirements.
Braintree Fire Station is holding a recruitment session on December 16, alongside Santa’s Grotto event at Sainsbury’s in Braintree Town Centre.
Drop in anytime between 10am and 4pm.
