A VARIETY of anniversary events are coming to Cressing Temple Barns this month.

Essex County Council is celebrating 30 years of maintaining the grounds of the popular events venue.

There will be two days of entertainment held in celebration of this achievement, with a barn dance and some spooky fun on the way later in the month.

Families can come on down to a special barn dance where they can dance the night away to a country band.

Held in the Barley Barn, the event features live music and dance from the Metric Foot Band.

Metric Foot are very experienced at playing for a wide variety of functions including charities, parties, weddings, anniversaries, and village celebrations.

A typical evening would feature dance music and songs from different traditional sources, along with original material.

Also included in your ticket price will be a handmade sausage bap, veggie or meat burger from Totham Bangers.

The event takes place on Saturday October 21 from 7pm until 11pm, with tickets costing £12.50 per person.

Children under 2 go into the event for free.

The second event will be a spooky Halloween day.

From 11am to 4pm on Thursday, October 26 and Friday, October 27 there will be interactive puppet shows, magical storytelling and complimentary creepy face painting. Plus explore the site on three themed trails and find ghosts, pumpkins and witches.

There will be the chance to meet a range of creepy critters, including snakes, lizards and big bugs.

The event is free to both parents and younger children.
