A poetry festival will visit 11 libraries across the county during a month-long tour.
Essex Poetry Festival, which features some of the best of Essex’s contemporary poets, will stop off at libraries across the county for live performances.
If you enjoy reading or listening to poetry, or want to pick up writing tips from renowned poets, drop into one of the many events.
The library events are a great opportunity to meet Essex poets, including Adrian Green, Rosie Sandler, Derek Adams and Maggie Freeman.
As well as experiencing live poetry readings, you will also get a chance to discuss the poetry, gaining a real insight into the creative process, and perhaps be inspired to write your own.
The Essex Poetry Festival started on September 21 and will run until October 19.
There is no need to book and entry is free.
