A man has been sentenced for several driving offences.
Carl Potter, 40, of Blacklock in Chelmsford, admitted driving while disqualified, driving while above the legal alcohol limit, using a motor vehicle without insurance, taking a car without consent and resisting a police officer.
Potter was found to have stolen a Ford Focus after committing the offences in Maldon Road, Hatfield Peverel, on March 25.
He was found to have 111 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
Potter was sentenced to 12 weeks in custody, disqualified from driving for five years and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £115 when he appeared at Colchester Magistrates' Court on September 12.
