AN after school Club has kept its rating as good after an Ofsted inspection.

The Alphabet Club, in Kelvedon, is an after-school and holiday club for a total of 86 children aged between four and 13.

The Ofsted inspector spoke to children and parents and observed staff and children interacting with one another.

Owner Barry Martin said: "We are very pleased with the results of this inspection.

"All of our staff are hardworking and committed and this Ofsted report just shows it.

"With the money we raise, we invest that back into the play equipment and facilities at the centre.

"Every penny goes back to the children, and if the children are enjoying it, then we must be doing something right."

Inspector Claire Meyer also held discussions with the management team about how it is moving the club forward.

The club opens in term time for a breakfast club from 7.45am to 9am.

The centre also runs a holiday club out of term time which it runs during the school holidays.
