A WITHAM business has donated Easter eggs to a children's charity.

Simarco, a logistics company in the town, donated the eggs to Brainwave, as well as Parc Essex and Little Havens Hospice.

More than 300 eggs were collected and shared between the three charities.

Trevor Scott, managing director and Kate Rice, personal assistant, delivered Easter Eggs to Brainwave and during their visit they were given a tour of the Therapy Centre.

Simarco also promoted a stop smoking campaign to their staff and pledged to give a donation to Brainwave for any successful cases.

Gerry Gould, community manager at Brainwave, said: "We cannot thank everyone at Simarco Worldwide Logistics enough for their wonderful donation of £600 to our charity, and for the large collection of Easter eggs.

"It costs us £3,500 per child per year to keep on our exercise therapy programmes and we do not receive any Government funding.

"We have to look at ways of raising all our own income, so this donation is very much appreciated and will go towards enabling us to continue offering our therapy service to the children that attend our therapy centre."
