A CHURCH was packed to capacity for a choir's performance of a classical music favourite.
On Sunday, March 19, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Braintree, Anglia Singers presented a concert of Handel's Messiah with a series of soloists.
The singers were led by conductor Professor Christopher Green and were augmented by singers from other choirs from all over Essex.
The uplifting concert was the last chance to catch Anglia Singers, who are the official choir of Anglia Ruskin University, until summer with the group taking a well earn break.
Musicals, Madrigals and Romance will be the group's next concert and will take place at the university on Friday, June 23.
The programme includes selections from West Side Story and Seven Bridges for Seven Brothers with guests including the KEGS Jazz Band.
