BRAINTREE'S McDonald's has received a major digital makeover which has created an additional 20 jobs.

Major investment has been made from franchisee Cherry Lewis Taylor at the McDonald's restaurant on Cressing Road, Braintree.

Several innovations have been introduced aimed at helping improve the customer experience including four new self-order electronic kiosks which allow customers to browse the menu and personalise their choices.

Table service has also been brought in to the restaurant as part of a wider roll-out in McDonald's around the country.

Cherry, has been a franchisee for more than 20 years and operates four restaurants across Essex.

She said: "“Customers have been really positive about all the changes.

"People who used to pop in for a quick bite to eat are staying longer to make use of the tech we now have on offer, such as our tablets and free Wifi and we can see they are excited by all the new options."

Improvements have been made to the crew room at the restaurant and a new training room has been added to the facilities on offer for staff.

Cherry continued: "I’m confident that this new look restaurant on Cressing Road will be a welcome addition to the area and I’m looking forward to welcoming our customers in to show off the changes.”
