A BRAND new exhibition on the district’s most famous artists is to open at the Braintree Museum.
Life in an English Village features drawings and lithographs by Edward Bawden, some of which have been unseen for 20 years.
The artist is the most famous of a cluster who moved to the village in the 20th century including John Aldrige, Eric Ravilious and Sheila Robinson.
This is a unique opportunity to see work from several different collections including the Great Bardfield Historical Society on display together in one place.
A special opening event takes place on January 27 and Richard Bawden, son o Edward Bawden, is attending.
The museum is also hosting a series of events through to April.
Entry to the exhibition costs £4 for adults, £3 for concessions and £2 for children.
